sure why not 100k for snekaer armor!
omg what a crying noobs. i got killed dozylions times from brd and plasma grenage sneakers. just remove sd from renades and it will be fine. everyone will just run with laser pistol sd thats all. laser pistol can deal serious damage but it is laser pistol and let sneakers to do some damage to snipers and loners.
remove sd from grenades and there will be no more instant kill crits, and stop crying. you will make new post "nerf gauss, nerf avenger, nerf gatling" we dont have them and we want to nerf them!!!

As we all know, silent death needs some change. It's obvious that sneaker shouldn't be able to easily kill 200+ armored character. Making silent death for hth/melee only is out of the question, players are going to be disgusted because they chose perk which is totally useless.

A simple solution comes to my mind:
SD for weapons with aim mode only (one handed without burst mode).

This way every player who took silent death could use its potential. Throwers could use throwing knives, small gunners could use needler or 223 pistol and lazor sneakers could use laser pistols and plasma pistols (though it might be the next thing people will whine about, it's not a secret that you can kill 290 hp guy with two shots from plasma).

Right, one thing people should realize is that there is no way you'd assassinate any target by randomly hitting it somewhere, you'd pretty much make a called shot. Yeah players are going to get 223 bullet in head for quite some damage, but this can generally be balanced somehow. And plasma pistol is at least not the kind of very cheap material so it rules out risking little to nothing.
In case of plasma grenade, it sounds more like stuff for steal skill when used with sneak.

223 pisotl with sd?
and how you would like to balance it? nerf 233 pistol? anty crit mode to pistol? and what about 223pistols snipers?
223 pistol is to strond for sd. i have sg sneaker and i dont want to begin new era of 223 pistols sneakers

The real problem is armour bypassing crits, if they removed the bypass armour wouldn't be useless, plasma could be guarded against and people would have a chance to fight back.

Yey nice half post not even about topic :D

Like Docan said, silent death should be perk what support skilled players.
Its still usefull and dangerous but in normal way not instant melted/cuted/ko'ed/cripled from 35 hexes :)

People will whine and whine about it because its no skillneed perk to make serious danger because of some random bluesuit sneaker.
It's like fighting with zombies/town npc, u can kill them countless times but they will back with same force and same danger each time.
It's unfunny and stupid. Same about power of sneak, i can just make circles in 6-7 hexes from bg and he can't see me just wtf :)



I like Kelin suggestion and i will quote in first post it, and every other good suggestion.

Main post is what I still agree with.  (as long as melee is included) I say again, because, hth/unarmed are the same thing, sir :D.  hth = hand to hand (unarmed) unarmed = hth  ;)

At the same moment it'd require massive number changes. It'd be better to change the perk at the moment.

I wish melee got some buff, like silent death for also two handed melee weapons , and heavy handed.
As for silent death for normal weapons, should be only for those which got target mode, thats all (no stupid plasma nades lovers).

Unarmed didn't need a buff in itself anyways.

Only it's weapons did.

 -get rid of heavy-handed entirely
