I'm taking a break right now so I dunno if they turned it off, but the fact is that entire squads have been dismantling their gear when cornered and outgunned - and that was really really stupid, dismantling your armor isn't something you should be able to do in 2 or 3 seconds needed for that finishing blow to come. I think that exiting combat mode should give you 5 or 10 minute timeout on dismantling gear and it shouldn't be possible in combat mode at all.

Oh, and those unarmed death squads are pretty awesome. It's like the chavs or biker gangs ;D
