Aim Bots

(1/3) > >>

Brooce:
I have noticed while doing PvP and town control, and this applies almost exclusively to SoT, that they are obviously using some sort of Aim Bot. This is not a complaint about "losing a fight" because the exact fight I am referencing; we won. But there is obviously something going on when a player is instantly shooting you the moment you come into sight. There were no militia, so its not a mis-attribution of who was attacking. There were times I was hit from 20+ hexes while running BETWEEN buildings. There were times, while running, the SoT player would stop fire a rocket and continue running in the span of half a second. The reflex speed is clearly not possible.

It is no secret that SoT has been using bots to farm MATs, so its not as if an auto aim bot is out of the question.

Is there a way to detect this? There needs to be, and are people being banned for it.

Some pvp players come from quake, they can have incredible reflexes.

You never actually denied using an aimbot. Is your ego so inflated that you genuinely can't see past it to address accusations?

In any case, even if you and your faction members aren't aimbotting, I see no reason for you to be opposed to a system to detect people using an aimbot.

I've got 86 millisecond reaction times, with a consistent 15 millisecond standard deviation either way. Visibly, that's an immediate reaction. In FOnline, however, even with excellent reaction times, latency still comes into play, especially as of late.

I'm not accusing anyone of using an aimbot, but if what Brooce is describing is accurate, then there's definitely something strange going on here. I wouldn't put it past SoT to do something so underhanded as that. I seriously doubt the usefulness of such a bot, and I've personally been involved in many battles won against them regardless of their shamelessness, but I am curious if such a bot is in use in the game. I've definitely seen botters before, primarily in mines, which is at least a testament to the fact that players in this game are not all above cheating.

Is there any system in place to detect botters, aimbot or otherwise?

Skycast:
Ok, time uncover all, sot is a russian science AI project and i am only one real player in this team, other our players it just learning AI software placed on servers. This bots can levelup, farm, even do pvp without any human help. So you was right, but we are not using bots - we are the bots. Now you know all story.

Perteks:
