Lag caused me to miss someone following me

Today when I check if anyone was following me the game must have lagged because I didn't see any names under mine when I exited the city, then low and behold there's a guy named boombox in my safe house! WTF lag

He also could've clicked "Follow" slightly later after you left, so at first it looks like noone's following you. The nickname shows up the moment someone clicks "Follow", and the follower pop-up window stays open for a while after the tagged person leaves the map.

NO its not pointless, I didn't know you could wait to follow someone, I did linger about 10 seconds at san fran.

Slaver Snipe:
This is one of the reasons why I enjoy being a merc/slaver character on almost all of my people, it's fun to have them spawn at your tent/safehouse and get eaten alive.  (It's also a reason why almost all of my tents are a square away from a city so I have time to know if someone is following me)
