I was thinking about some low tech knife substitute for gathering, like the primitive tool for chopping trees and mining minerals.
I made a picture:

It needs one flint to craft it, can't be used for combat, and it's not as durable as a knife, but it can be used to get fibers and to skin animals (yeah, how about making a cutting tool necessary for gecko/brahmin skinning?).

What do you guys think?
