Whats with the skin hatred?
Lexx:
It has a simple reason:
1. We change skin.
2. Player is happy.
3. Player realizes that he is too slow / can't do shit / reason whatever
4. Player is spam-PMing us or the GMs all day long to remove it again.
Even if we set rules that we don't remove skins after we gave them, we are bombed with requests.
Archvile:
@Lexx
Well, if you get bombed with requests, then having a proper skin is apparently an important part of the game for players.
You might want to consider adding a way for everyone to change skins on their own.
Like a command: ~changeskin <skinID>
I don't believe it would be hard. If a GM can do it, technically anyone should be able.
And you can always limit the subset of possible skins, disabling all the stupid ones.
Izual:
Like devs have enough time for this =/
Tyler:
You guys get bombed with skin requests already,is it really going to matter whether it's to get a skin or have one removed? Most people who ask are usually turned down only to see someone else walking around in the very skin they just requested. If you explain the limitations of the skin thats requested and they agree, then I say give it to them and if they dont like it afterwards thats too fucking bad.Ignoring the request to have skins removed cant be all that different than ignoring the request to have one added.
Lexx:
You don't have to argue with me about it, because I am not the one who is giving out skins. I'm just saying that we get requests all day long, because people underrated the negative effect of a different skin, etc.
Ignoring requests isn't that easy, because we got spammed very hard already because of other issues. In this moments we even thought about simply deactivating this function... which would throw away a good function, that can help players in various - important - situations.
Anyway. I am not the one who decides about the skins. Just say'in.
