alot of members of this community are not nice to anyone let alone their mother.. hence me being abused for losing out.  so when I remember my time in fonline2238, I will remember a bunch of mean cheating exploiting not nice people. why would I want to stay around?

this game is addictive so its not your choice to stay or leave.

I'm not "leaving" I refuse to play, Its against my better judgement to start new characters. they will only be stolen by these people. you can't expect these people to say anything but lies, they are wrong and know they have broken certain ethics, just to "beat" someone.  You think they stole 1 character and 1 base, they did it many times, and never stopped. its not once or twice now, but a habit of theirs to steal from me, and get away with it. I can't play, all my items and alts will be stolen from soon as they are leveled. why would I bother? also stop trolling with abuse, you will get red carded just for that.

In general its one thing to grief someone...

Its one thing to rob them in game, or even to tell someone to go infiltrate them and then base rape them.

And 100% different to hack their accounts and do it.

While the first 2 cases are just a matter of "you should have been more careful" the third case SHOULD BE FROWNED UPON an Punished.

Even in games where YOU PAY to play them when someone Hacks into someone elses account etc they are BANNED, ip blocked etc.

In a free game where we are here to enjoy a community of gamers for gamers and provide feedback to the Devs for further game improvement such behavior SHOULD BE PUNISHED EVEN MORE! Cause its obvious people like that dont care for the community but only for the lols.

Once again this has NOTHING to do with harsh wasteland. It has to do with childing 5 year old assholes. Its up to the community to say that yes killing and griefing in game are part of the "harsheness" but acts like this are punishable.

The line has to be drawn somewhere...

if they actually did hack your accounts, they should be punished serverly. If you get robbed/killed/thieved. then one can always say: though luck.

But actually having your accounts stolen and used to rob you blind? no that is unacceptable and should receive heavy punishment.

But in practice investigating such case is many hours (or days) of both devs and GM work, searching logs, looking for and interrogating people, trying to find out who is lying and it's very hard to prove anything. The question is why should this be done in the first place if they aren't paid for it. YOU are responsible for safety of your own account dude. This is a free game. Don't share alts, don't use passwords like "ass", don't let other people install trojans on your PC and you should be fine.

I am glad certain people are starting to understand what I'm saying, here is how I put it, Why should I start playing if its all just going to happen again? nothing has been implemented to prevent Alt stealing. it's too late for me to have the given back, duh. but I can't play until I feel their is more secure way to protect you online game characters. I had an idea that might be a good idea to make all players have a master login before they create or log into characters. that way ever player must have all their accounts attached to a master login. this way, it could be easily proven who owns the alt, as well as being able to give the characters back to their legitimate owners. anyway if we had a master login for our characters it would be easy to prevent anyone from stealing alts ever.

I would never want what happened to me happen to any one else, no one deserves this treatment.  and on a side note, I feel certain levels of the community are ruining the RPG story context, by creating some kind of evil only version of fallout cannon via this 2238 server, I mean, people are not very nice to anyone, well a small majority, and I think this type of community should rally against this awful behavior and bullying.
