Ranger Unification Treaty

I'm not sure is this the right section. I saw Luther made a NCR Veteran Ranger Armor. Great job, it look fantastic! And the duster animations are very well done.

The point is that.. in 2238 there was no "NCR veteran rangers" ;). The unification treaty was signed in 2271. Before that Brown Coats were known simply as Desert Rangers and used to appear only in Nevada and Arizona. Utah maybe. No California.

So i think we should rename them to Desert Rangers + make them a RARE encounter. As a compensation i suggest to make them ultra deadly.

Yeah i know, those are just meaningless DETAILS. But still i think i should be considered.

Call them Wasteland Rangers, as a nod to Mr.Fargo.
Wasteland is a tricky business.

Not bad. If you want - i can remake some of the original Wasteland weapons, like AK-97.

The actual implementation of the models into 2238 is out of our control, but you make a good point. Tracker names are only really for our reference, so for adding in game it can be named however the devs see fit (the actual objects and stats etc that the models link to is all server-side).

Regarding AK-97 etc, I would be hesitant about adding too many extra bits at the moment, as there's so much work still to do with what's already there.

Why not just give it a few tweaks and call it the LAPD riot armor.

We can tweak it however really. Texture likely needs redoing anyway, so there's some freedom regarding how and what. It's pretty much just a trenchcoat, bullet proof vest, helmet and gas mask, isn't it? There's a lot we can do with those components.

Personally i like Lizard's idea. A little tribute to Wasteland would be nice.

Sounds good enough to me.

The armors are coming from the Boneyard, by the way, as they wear LAPD Riot Gear. There is nothing that says the NCR wasn't using them before too, just on other troops (which later transformed into the NCR Elite Rangers), because Los Angeles is far longer in the NCR than Nevada.

I don't think it would work after all canon > references .
