Upgradeable bases
« on: February 22, 2010, 08:52:54 pm »

Hi everybody.

I would like to suggest to put the ammo terminal or workbench with advanced tools to the most expensive base - Outpost. Well, the reason is pretty simple. If you have to pay so much money, why not to have all things in one place? Well,i know it looks so superb, but maybe it can be also solved by making the bases upgradeable for another bunch of money. What do you think?

Thanks for ideas.

I Think this is a Good Idea, Yet it Latches onto one of my Suggestions a Fair While Ago, Where there is the "BUILDBOY" Witch Allows you To Construct At Tents,Bases With Materials. It allows you to Place it Before actually Building it. and You Have to wait in the base,Tent for like 10 Minutes for it to Build
And also if Possible, the Placement should be Transparent.

Interaction with other players would even more degrease when everyone is staying at the base etc.
But I agree with you that there should be some visual upgrades to ones base, to make it more individual.

Well, I think that if you already purchase an outpost for 130k (which is lot of money) with your clan mates, you should be able to configurate the base as you wish and make it best for suiting your needs. Well it shouldn't be so hard to make an NPC which could have an options with additing things to your own base...

i think this is shit, richest people allready have best conditions for everything, if poor dude can go into sierra or mariposa and craft something for himself so why cant rich gangs do the same? Totally useless suggestion.

Dynamic maps are impossible to have at the moment. Engine does not support them.
Only way to make this thing possible is to fully regen the base map when you upgrade it - so all your items, mercs etc. will be lost.

What about containers, such as footlockers, desks, boxes, bookshelves and so? Can they be buyable or available in some other way? And don't write to "go play Sims" please, containers aren't carpets, pictures on walls or flowers, they could be useful.
There are fibers and fruits on outpost, junk barrel on scrapheap - what to want more? Gauss-ammo-growing tree? C'mon.

Before wipe I had pretty nice desk in my tent, it was from bugged location or so (I paid for it 1000 caps though, never been there), but it was working.
