Make character stop when walking into trap

The title is pretty self-explanatory. Nothing is more annoying than that you realize that you just ran into field of traps, but your character just keeps going forward and *puf*, you are dead. This would give the player some chance to actually survive or go through that area. If you want to keep going forward simply tap your left mouse button.

Or maybe this could be implemented in Light Step perk.

Opera, actually that's a really good idea. Some kind of "stop" hotkey would be really handy.

That would be very nice too.

But when activating a trap, it should stop your character automatically.

Detecting a trap in original game caused your character to stop. (Also most of those knocked you down so it was really easy to react anyway) - there you go, some reasons to act.

Better to have it in general anyway. it makes no sense for anyone to keep running after running into a landmine. Either way it was in the game so it might be in here aswell.
