unknown messsage on file download?

Im new to this game, and so I downloaded the client, hit update, and it goes. then a REALLY big file, data\faction.zip starts. it has taken all day to download, and when it is done, i get unknown message on file download. what does this mean? sorry if i sound like a noob, but any help is appreciated!   :-\
