Do we still need 100 science to craft high quality alloys?

This is my last question i hope till i start rerolling my new crafter/trader/leader char

So i wanted to know if science is needed somehow for BG2 or SG 2 or ARmor 2?

Is it needed at all? before i was needed to learn proffesions and be able to craft the alloys

But now i check fix it and high quality alloys or alloys doesnt require any sience at all to craft them

So is science needed for anything else except EW proffesion and crafting EW and dismanting stuff that are broken?

simple question you can reply simple with a yes or no and it will help me a lot get started my crafter char asap.

how about checking the fix boy

also take 100 science for the educated perk(got it at level 2)
