I know the formula is cha-1/2 but there is something thats confusing me the follower points

So with char 5 can i have 2 mutants with miniguns?

Or i can have just 2 slaves or 2 simple less expensive mercs withouut minigun?

No it is not just charisma it is also the Speech Skill.  every 3% speech is a party-point each charisma point is 10 party-points so you have 21 speech and 5 charisma =56-57 party-points?

every ch point is 10 follower points

so with 5 ch you have 50
each mutie cost 90 points so you are far from having 2 muties
every 3 speech point is 1 follower point 300 speech = 100 points
magante personallty is 50
good natured is 50

all together with 10 ch = 100 points
300 speech = 100 points
magnate personallty and good natured is another 100
max points is 300 so you can have 3 muties at max.

Guys u must make a mistake cause i remember 2 of my chars that had 3 char and low speech thats about 30-33 party points right?

and i had a SG merc 60 points on one of my char and on my other char with 3 char i had EW merc 70 points so please tell me how its possible that i had those mercs on my pre wipe chars with char 3 and low speech?

As far as i know merc system didnt change with wipe right so it should be the same as before right?

Also whats the difference between companion and a merc?

I know the difference between merc/slave but what is companion?

and where to get companions?

are they for free? you just need a certain amount of char and speech and u talk to them and they just follow you?

to be more precise my chars both had 3 charisma and 25 speech thats 8.3 points from speech

so 3 char = 30+8.3 from speech = 38.3 PP

and i had a SG merc thats 60 PP
and on my other char i had an EW merc thats also 60 PP

thats prewipe but as far as i know nothing changed after wipe on PP and merc system so am i missing something here?

The party point system was implemented in this wipe, before that it was ch -1 /2

You can have 1+([number of dogs]/2). For one dog you need 40 PP. So you can always have 1 brahmin (CH >=2 ofc) and if you want 2 you have to have 2 dogs and CH>=4 (and 80 PP ofc)
