(Perk) In Your Face

(1/7) > >>

jodwig:
Can anyone explain me how exactly In Your Face perk works? It says it reduces chance to be hit by 50% when someone is on hex next to me, but how that 50% chance calculates?
1. Does it works as if I had bonus 50 AC, so snipers would still have 95% eye shot chance.
2. Does it always reduces chance to be hit by 50%, so someone with 95% chance to hit would have 45% instead, and with 75% he would have 25% etc. etc.
3. Does it halfs the final chance to hit, so if someone has 60% chance to hit, he would have 30% instead.

Wallace:
I think it's option 3

My pugilist will take that perk and i will do some testing afterwards

Crazy:
None of the option. Exactly as it's stated in perk description, you opponent have 50% chance to miss you in adjacent hex. It's independant roll.

Wallace:
lol so it basically works like in case 3 for probability issues right?

I guess so :)
Doesn't even really matter if it's calculated before or after the attackers own hit-chance.

I shoot someone with "In Your Face" from 1 hex and what happens is:
There's a 50/50 chance to hit. If I win this roll, my own hit-chance is rolled (80% for example) -> 0,5 x 0,8 = 0,4 (40% chance to hit). And if the 80% is calculated first, you'll be getting the same results I'd expect (0,8 x 0,5 = 0,4).

I'm not really good at deducing things with maths, so I might be wrong :)
