Bursting crits!

Critical bursts and classes that use them already exist and they are pretty powerful.

This idea isnt for buff anyone. Actually, if there would be chance to make critical WITHOUT any additional damage, that would be great.
The only thing i suggest is to add something new/random factor to bursts.

For now, bursts can be extra damage crits, and the only real critical effect could be knock. After this change, there will be chance to drop weapon, cripple leg etc. I think that could bring something fresh for BG/SG bursters build, because fighting can be more unpredictable than now.

Extra damage? NO (bursts crits damage is good as it is now)
Additional bursts effects? YES!

I am not sure, if I am able to comprehend... Let's assume, when I were being critically hit for ~200 hit points by someone wielding Avenger (I would like to add, that even average man using Avenger/LSW has 12/14 action points, which allow him to shoot twice) and according to your suggestion I would also receive an injury(?). It has nothing to do with this suggestion (directly), but why not to make the same effect to take place after being hit with a rocket. Just imagine what kind of impact it is... I have anything to base on at the moment, that you have not already, but I will risk and suggest you creating "burster" with higher than average chance for critical hit and testing it.

Well yeah, about RL its totally truth. Seems reasonable to give RL shots chance to cripple.

About your question. Yes, and no.
I was thinking about diversifying actual burst critical chance (max 25%) for three groups:

-regular crits (exactly the same as it is now) for example: 200hp burst
-cripplings (NO additional damage, but additional cripplings) for example: 60hp burst and left leg crippling
-super-duper crits (mixed first two groups) for example: 200hp shot and left leg crippling

Im aware of devastating critical bursts, as it is now, but if you look closely to suggestion, it actually dont buff bursters. It just add random factor. But it will change drastically fights? I dont think so. Max critical chance for proper BG build is 25%, so 1/3 of 25% for crippling is nearly 1 for 12 bursts. It wont change much, but it could bring something new:) Actually it could buff a little bit DOCTOR skill.

People dont like random factors which they cant affect.
I dont think it would bring anything (meaningful) other than frustration.
