A game changer for the 3D industry

Have you 3D developers been exposed to 3D printing? This technology gives 3D artist the opportunity to produce real scale figurines from 3D designs. Have you guys ever been exposed to this new technology?

One of my partners actually uploaded an early design of one of his characters. You can now buy it in ABS plastic haha.

I think it's pretty neat that people now have the power to upload and sell their models as figurines.

I think this belongs in offtopic as the mods see fit.

I think it's pretty neat that people can make 3d printer parts to build their own 3d printers.
The figurines are pretty okay for now, but i'll wait 10 years, till i can download my car at Pirate Bay.
