Cant connect to IRC

I can connect to chatroom (#2238 at forestnet) but cant send anything. It tells me to type /NickServ HELP REGISTER or click a link that doesnt exist. So I click command to register my nick, after a while I input a proper command /NickServ REGISTER pass [email] and it tells me I got wrong email (tried two times, with my gmail and other mail, and Im sure I wrote them correctly)

What do?

I suppose #2238 IRC channel is only for registered users.

Do not write the [ ] in the command, just your email. It might be also that you have to write it twice.

Try this :
/NickServ REGISTER yourpassword yourmail@example.com
or :
/NickServ REGISTER yourpassword yourmail@example.com yourmail@example.com

Also it might be /msg Nickserv REGISTER, not /nickserv REGISTER
