Attero does 4luck (+4% critical chance) changes that much? Please share with us your idea of sniper for PvP only.

With 4 luck.. so you'll have ALWAYS 4% crit, or 14% with fines. Look "More Critical" perk requirements.

Oh, damn it, wrong, you mean 10 luck..

you forget about this
(50*5*LUCK)/100*F2_Aim_bonus

so where you get 48% bonus crit on eye shots with 6 luck you get 60% with 10 luck ..at top of the bonus 4% crit
it make 16% more crit chance for eye shots (12% for head ones) and no amusing damage penalty from finease...

i dont say that finease is that bad through... just dont think you can solo pvp much without someone that can actually do _the_damage_

why 8 agiliy? expecially for energy build  - you need 7 AP for head shot with laer rifle - thats 4 AG ....
200 EW skill - you know that 200 is far from sniper ? if you will use buff to get 10 per your effective niping range will be 40 at day and 30 at night...
Outdoorsman - i think 100 is a waste ... there is huge differance between 100 and 120 when it comes to encoutner avoiding...

If i have 4 Agility i cannot take weapon handling perk so i rise strength to 6.
Perks criticals, educated and life giver
Traits small frame and chem resistant
I can have 153 HP, 240 Energy weapon, 120 Fa and 40 outdoorsman. I don't know how many points i need for Energy Weapon, I'd like to rise outdoorsman to that 120 but i don't have enough points for those 3 things.

I figured out smthk better (?)

hmm you can go with 6 ag and be able to take weapon handling - up to you

8 per is ufficients cigs do the trick for max range sniping

dont take sharphooter its only 8% CTH

156 hp is qute low .

like i said its alwayes a trade off . if you want outdoor you will need to either higher INT so lower HP or less weapon kill meaning shorter range...

how much skill you need?

WITH 10 PER (rememebr you can use buffs to get it)
222 for 45 hexes day
and 262 for 45 hexes night

obviously getting full sniping range at night is overkill

i would guess 240 & 8 PER is good value  - you can snipe at full range in day w/o buffs and at night with cigs your range will be around 40 hexes

(by range i mean 95% hit for aimed head shots )

i avise againt hem resistant - cigs are only 100 in game minutes so it will be reduced to 50 mins and that would about 2.5 mins real time ..


i wanna put emphasis on no golden build again - while 4 AG and 7AP is sufficient for energy sniping you may want to go for 6 AG and 8 AP to be able to eat 2x JET and shoot 2x per round (and realy fater in real time) while on jet addiciton you will till have 7 AP so you can shoot normally

..It's a serious question, I'd really like to know that  ;).

EDIT: Thanks to Attero this thread contains a lot of valuable info, but I still don't know if AC modifier at -20% for  .223 ammo means substracting 20 from a targets AC or reducing it by 20%. Another thing is how many % of my chance to hit drops with each hex of distance (with a long range weapon). If anybody could answer me these questions, I'd be greatful :-P.

Unless the formula has changed since prewipe a small gun skill of 250 is enough to always have 95% chance to hit eyes at 50 hexes with a sniper rifle in the day or night time.I'm not guessing about this either because my main guy Dirk has always been a sniper with 10 perception and max range at all times.

It's useful but there are other that might be a better to choose than that.If your going to be a sniper,chances are your going to have a good amount of distance between you and the target anyway.Instead I use perks like lifegiver,toughness,bonus rate of fire(which doesnt work right now).If your going for a crit build it takes up to 4 perks leaving only 3 more for anything else

It can be useful if you shoot only at long range, but as Tyler said, some other perks might be more useful : Lifegiver, Sharpshooter, Toughness...
