Ok so here is the story. I bought a base with a friend, and eventualy sold the base to him. So later I log the leader of the base on to transfer the leadership to my friend and there was a little mistake. I promoted him to the highest rank thinking he would become leader, and then I would leave, but it didn't work out that way.  Now my friend is the highest rank he can be and there is no current leader, so here are my questions. Is there any other way to give him leadership even though the base has no leader? ( He tried to claim leadership and it won't let him untill "he settles issue with leader"??) Can a base survive without a leader? (He has abt 400K in junk in this base and we don't want it to dissapear.)

It'll be fine, even with no one as members at all.  Tho keeping 1 member to add others is always a good idea, which if he's highest rank, he should be able to do just fine without leadership power.

Well, he still claimed the leadership, even if it didn't automatically make him leader. He needs to confirm it now. I think the wait is 2 in-game days before you can confirm, but I could be totally wrong.

Keep visiting base to "refresh it", hit Terminal even if you can't use it.
