1. Finding a Louisville slugger in a random cave.
2. Buying one 2mm EC from Sha Enin.
3. Finding an unlocked buggy in NCR.
4. Finding a Brotherhood armor that was stashed in Gecko.
Crazy:
2 or 3 sessions ago, I came across totally by accident, near ares, of a new location on WM. When I entered, I discovered a crashed vertibird and on the maps were pack of every type of ammunition (even those for guns which weren't IG) in insane amounts (something like one million each, even for rockets). With a friend, I spent few hours with an highway to fill up it's trunk, go empty it at the base, come back to fill it up... No more ammo crafting until wipe (at a time where you could easily spend more than 1200 5mm for each warrior at each battle, and crafting it was incredibly boring, that was pretty usefull).

I think 2 or 3 days ago me and some faction friends were in redding town controlling and fighting C88/TTTLA alliance aka children of atom. The GMs came in and spawned a bunch of BOS palidans which killed off TTTLA and the paladins didn't attack us. Then the GMs blew up the paladins and I got a pulse pistol which I am saving for pre-wipe madness :D

You're very wrong here, it's TTTLA and C88 who killed all paladins. And we got 6 pulse pistol and dynacords from that.
Also, what's the interest to save a weapon for a time where better weapons will be widely available? Mmmh....
