Anime/Manga thread
Besmrtnik:
hey I am also anime fan :D
anyway for me "DragonBall Z" is above anything else, institution for itself.
1. Fist of the North Star ( Protagonist alone in post-apocalyptic world against all evil in world, I liked it becouse it remainded me a lot on fallout world, people gruped in factions, each from themselfs, killing techniques are awesome in anime.)
2. Ghost in the Shell ( sci-fi anime, follows special unit called section 9, which solve crimes,, but on other side it have very deep psychological topics and questions. )
3. Ergo Proxy ( sci-fi anime placed in post-apocalyptic world, anime is based on lots of talk and little of action, but story is quite intresting and there is no need for lots of action, also here we have some deeper topics. )
4. Death note ( I don't know why but I thought its shit before I watched it... but I gave it a chance and after first episode I was shocked, it was awesome I watched 18 episode that night and I failed math exam on collage which I had next morning... no joke... lot of people who usualy dont watch anime loved death note... I highly recommend you this one, and dont read what is about just watch first episode. )
that was the best once, I watched more animes but I dont have respect for them and dont get them serious... like
recently I watched
highschool of dead - it was good one boobs jumping around, action, killings but no respect
and... I have question of you I see someone of you said he watched "code geass" , everybody saying that after "death note" you must watch that one... one even some people consider it better then "death note", anyway I watched 6 episodes I think and I consider it shit... what am I missing?
Lizard:
Yea, they called it "Death Note with mecha", right?
You might dislike CLAMP drawings, since it's stark bishounen. One might also compare Le Douche with L.Yagami, because of "charismatic guy plots going as planned" and there's of course mecha. First, there's only semi-realistic mecha around and then, for the sake of battle awesomeness, the technology goes into "supermecha" section.
And then, while the original idea was decent for my liking, the writing goes down the drain in the second season.
And they botchered his sister. She could be an awesome DiLandau, if you know Visions Of Escaflowne. But nooo...
