Is there anything more in-depth on mercs than wiki? if so could you point me to it, i tried searching but couldn't find anything - too cluttered with random stuff.
My main question is - do mercs use ammo? I'm guessing yes but just want to confirm.

If you are planning on not trying to player hunt (or even if you are and you are only after 1-2 players at a time) sharpened spears are quite good, good damage penetrate perk and it doesn't det/use ammo.  Supersledges are also fun but are a lot pricier.

How do action points play a role in PVP combat if it's in real-time?

Well I have my combat for encounters switched to RT and apparently when you have it like that (or just tb) those are the only type of encounters you can enter, so 100% of my battles are RT and I like it that way  ;D

In RT battles the higher max AP you have the faster the AP regenerates. (You do not gain action points in RT while doing "actions" which includes running, opening a door etc.)

Btw does an aimed shot cost more AP?
How much would an aimed shot with a Laser Rifle cost?
Is this the correct formulae for how much hp points your first aid will heal? skill% + ((Perception+Intelligence)/2)
What's the average AC of most players?

Aimed shots to Eyes, Head, or Groin cost +2 AP

So, without any perks or traits, an aimed shot of Laser rifle to eyes will cost 7 AP (5+2).

For FA Formula: No. It's more complicated, and is based on Luck for most part:

Skill 150, luck 10: Random ((10+10)*150/100,skill) = Random (30,150) = 90 HP healed on average
Skill 175, luck 10: Random ((10+10)*175/100,skill) = Random (35,175) = 105 HP healed on average

20s for AC, if they are wearing armor. AC without armor can only be up to 10, if they have 10 AG, which most people don't. So average of like 7 or 8 AC for bluesuits.

Well you can make an alt for a repairer/crafter or you could simply look in stores for 0% det items and buy them with caps or lots and lots of broken weapons you farmed in the wastes. Most MMO's you would be able to find someone to pay to repair your shit, chances of that in Fonline are very very slim as the player base believes that everyone else is out to kill them and so they will kill you first. (If you do magically find such a person don't be surprised if they just keep what you gave them.)

Where do you get Tobacco? I explored the Ghost Farm a little bit, and I wasn't able to find any type of Tobacco there.


edit: Nevermind, I found out Tobacco hasn't been implemented yet.
