Also I would like to suggest you to look into: sdk\Tools\ASCompiler\Notepad++ Integration
Here you can find a way to use colours for specifed functions (like Notepad++ has it in php, html, C++ or so...)

Most valuable documentation is svn changelogs, still. You may want to look at translated version on xp-dev forum and original one (partially translated). English documentation is so poor and rarely updated that sooner or later (almost) everyone is forced to use translator ;/
