What the northern towns are REALLY LIKE...

Since we're on the topic of northern towns: is it 'safe'/'allowed' by the inhabitants (PC's) to buy detonators there?

/Edit: Redding is meant in this question ofcourse...

If you don't meet bored PvP-ape with militia's/merc's backup - why not? AFAIR these parts are quite cheap, so grab few caps, go and check. Not much to loose, isn't it?

10 caps each, but they are inexplicably heavy.

And you're right too spears, so heavy... never expected that ;) That'll teach me to do some background research.
