I understand that this has probably been discussed for quite a few times, but i would still want to tell you my perspective regarding it.

Firstly, this post has NOTHING to do with (in my opinion) useless questions about the wipe date.

I know this is only extra work for the GM's and in case of further fleshing out, even the devs, but i still think it's a good suggestion: why not give players certain "privileges" the day before the wipe?
By privileges, i of course mean either high-tier weapons to be spawned, mainly as a form of entertainment before the wipe (good starting point for at least a battlefield event), or even direct in-game conversations with the GM's or even devs, as from my point of view this would  drasticly increase interest in the game or at least pull a few old players back in.
I also understand that this sort of an "event" would take at least a few hours to be successfully organized, but also that the players hiding their PKing alter ego during the whole server uptime would finaly unleash it, and you of course wouldn't  receive as much complaint messages.
So basicly, this sort of an event would definitely be a chance for players to vent themselves and of course get them back to the game.
