Need more hubbers
gordulan:
I mean really, since everyone are in ncr (except the traders) it feels kind of lonely in the hub for a slaver like me, it would be sweet if more people actually were in the hub, it has absolutely everything one has in ncr as well, not to mention guards at the entry point...
UbiValkin:
Yea, I like this town. Actually, i called it my home, 'cause i have good memories from Fallout 1+protection like in NCR, but... i should always go to NCR for trading or just chat. Hub better than NCR, 'cause you don't need each time remove your weapon, if you need workbrech, and it has library, so if someone stole your book or you died with it, you don't need to go there to buy it again, and then return to NCR. The only bad thing is this city is big, so there will be alot people near entrance, but in centre, i think, it still be dead. And also NCR is more at North and centre of FOnline territory, also there more brahmins, but... players too ^_^, so it's really dangerous to hunt brahmins... It's again why i like Hub more, but if you need to go somewhere from Hub, you'll lose more time, that's why again more people at NCR. Also, i don't think it's too much people yet, to split between two towns normally.
avv:
I'm a hubber. However hub has too many green grid areas splitting it into many pieces. In addition there isn't really a good places to gather around.
TommyTheGun:
The best place to gather around is the bar, ofcourse. By the way - if you enter the city clicking the town/world button, you can choose the entrance right near Maltese Falcon bar.
I would be there right now if not my CPU-related issues. I really cannot play FOnline right now :<
Gatling:
The Hub is a wonderous place and am pleased to say I myself am a Hubber, though sadly I have migrated from the area a long time ago. The main disadvantage to it is the distance from... everything. With the increased critters in encounters, it makes it even more difficult just to travel with even moderate Outdoorsman, so walking is even less pleasant. Its desolation I think stems from that. If there was some sort of... taxi service to get people between those towns in that north-south line (VC-> BH-> NCR-> Junktown -> Hub) then there probably would be more life. Heck, Boneyard is right nearby and has in itself some nice traders and a very easy to access workbench feet away from the entrance grid. NCR is centralized... middle of the map between the far South (where few go) and the North where most traffic seems to be has it in an ideal location and provides shelter. Ah well... lets hope for a taxi or something and maybe we'll see some diversification.
