Door suddently locked?

I have come across a door, that used to be unlocked, yet somehow is locked now...
How is this possible?
Place is Toxic Caves

I wasnt able to lock any doors, with my own padlock.. :(
Seriously... I can only think of one way that door suddently got locked, and I dislike saying it.

Arent toxic caves a semi-perm location like the stranded ship?
On the ship when the doors close after a time limit they also lock themselves.
