Does a weapon upgraded from a farmed gun actually deteriorate faster than a weapon upgraded from a new crafted gun?

i know that the merchants give you caps as if it were not a new gun. But i was just wondering.

Grabbed 2 mausers. 1 completely new, 1 i repaired.
Unloaded clip onto my mercs, New one has 2%, other has 5%.


EDIT ---

Got 2 sawed-off shotguns, fired 2 shells from each
New one had 0%, crappy one had 2%.
