Not being a slaver

Well, i just did that quest that i took from the Jesus guy in Reno (deliver som shit to mezger)) and i now found out i was going to be considered a slaver and i couldnt enter NCR without getting killed, is there anyway to get my rep back?

Thats bullshit, ive done that quest with nearly all my characters and no rep for me is fucked.
