Where is everybody?

Avoid the abovementioned crowd near the entrance, and while being near anyone, be aware of their actions.  And expect that anyone willing to 'follow' you to help you with something, is just looking to go to your tent and blow you away.  BTW Welcome and if you need any help/hints or what not, pm me on forums.

Yeah try not to let anyone get near you. Also, don't come too close to other people yourself, they mgiht think you want to steal from them or something. I've noticed many new people tend to stand right next to me while we talk, without leaving a single hex between us.

You will die a lot in this game, please don't ragequit for that. The game has this kind of initiation test, just be patient and you will realize it's not so hard to get by.

go in uynguarded town and you will make a lot of firends(this is how i meet 67% of my in game firends)

Be wary the game is dying, losing it's population, so until wipe you won't find very many people right now.

 thanks for the replies everyone; aha actually, the chaotic lawless "lord of flies" environment is what attracted me to this game/mod ( so I don't think I'll be rage quitting ). In my opinion, this is probably what an "actual" post-apocalyptic world would be like, brutish short and nasty :P ( none of that fallout 3 bull ). I just hope people keep playing! The idea is pretty novel and unique
