This video actually shows one of the easiest ways to get your first gun. First, find flint, then make primitive tool, then find tree, then get wood, then get junk, and then make pistol with a workbench. Doesn't require a bit of combat...
...yet I still find new players in NCR that literally whine for an hour for a gun, when they could have already made 10 in the time it took to whine.

This is just a video with a few ingame scenes with a black/white filter applied. You don't even have the normal 2238interface installed. Sorry, I don't want to say that it's bad, but you gotta be a bit more creative if you want to make an "intro".
