about slaves

i want to know what kinds of npc can be enslaved exept long wanderers. and can they use armor if u give it to them? when i tried to give - their skn didnt change. please help.

And followers cannot equip your given armour, but some of them have them on when you catch them (female trappers comes with metal armour for example).
