Lets gamble!

There were a few suggestions for gambling, for lottery tickets also, and now i want to make my own. In f2 you gambled with npcs, but fonline is multiplayer so i think some kind of gambling challange is needed in between players. For that i see wasteland lottery as the best choice. How would it work? All players would need to buy a ticket for a constant price, lets say 100 caps. After buying ticket buyers names are added in the lottery bank with a certain chance to win. After a period of time (i suggest it to happen once in a real life week) there is a normal role on the lottery bank names list and the winner claims the prize.

Here is a short example how things should work:

There are 3 players, who decided to take part in the lottery this week - Joe, Peter, Anthony. Joe buys one ticket Peter buys 2 tickets and Anthony also buys one ticket.
Then all 3 players are added in the Lottery bank names list in this fashion:
Joe has 6% gambling skill, so his name is added 6 times for one ticket in the name list. (this is just an example, it could be made something like Gambling/2 or Gambling/3 devs could decide how it is better).
Peter has 4% gambling skill, and he bought 2 tickets, so his name is added 8 times in the list.
Anthony has 2% gambling skill so his name is added 2 times.
No one else has bought tickets this week, so the final lottery bank names list looks like that:

1 Joe
2 Joe
3 Joe
4 Joe
5 Joe
6 Joe
7 Peter
8 Peter
9 Peter
10 Peter
11 Peter
12 Peter
13 Peter
14 Peter
15 Anthony
16 Anthony

Now the time to see the winner comes. So as said before normal roll happens. All the numbers in the list have equal chance to be rolled, and one of them is finally rolled. The winner is the player whose name is written near the Lucky number. The lottery should be organised by one of casinos in New Reno, and both the tickets buying and prize claiming for the winner should happen in that casino with a help of certain npc.

What the prize should be? Well there are various ways for that, for example the caps from tickets price or a certain amount from it like 80% could be transferred to a jackpot which would grow with each ticket bought. But actually i think its a much greater idea to have a constant jackpot of lets say 50 000 caps without any growth, because that kinda jackpot would ensure ticket buying whole week, while if players see that jackpot is let say 1500, i doubt they will be interested in claiming it.
The winner could be announced in some billboard, or near those achievements in game by adding new: "this weeks wasteland lottery winner".

So that is pretty much the basic idea of wasteland lottery, maybe i will add something later. Dont forget to express your opinions both in comments and poll.

Cocain:
we need more arenas like san fran fighting square and reno canvas

places like that people can fight but more importantly other players can watch safely

ive tried making a bookie agency but its very hard to gather a bunch of people for a event like that and keeping them safe from unwelcome players

although it is possible to make and underground club... if ur interested pm me

and how is that related to suggestion?

Cocain:
oh yes ur right i went off topic

my point is things like that dont need game mechanics.. they need people to be willingly to cooperate

u could implement something like that surely, but with a bit of imagination u can do it right now

but i hav an idea for you to implement: mini games

card games/dice games/board games

dices are the easisest to implemet.. basicly when u double click dices u get a random number between 1-12 above ur char in a diferent colour

lol if i would organise the lottery guess who would be always really lucky to win ? :D I dont think that players can do something like that.
