Aaron just wait for the wipe, then after it talk about how awesome it is, the fact of the matter is that AR that you have will actually mean something early and you'll be depressed if you lose it. It's not like the current game where you have 20+ of every item on the ground and you don't give a flying fuck about losing things. It's fun when someone is pking you with a 10mm pistol and all you have is a regular shotgun to fend them off with.

I care about losing things.. I just want to experience getting to level 21 before I have to start all over again. It's like knocking down a house of cards before it is finished. You prematurely ended all your hard work and never got to see it at its peak.

And if you want to start over, for the gazillionth time, MAKE A NEW CHARACTER. I don't know how hard it is to figure out.

The fact if the matter is there WILL be a wipe whether you want it or not, and if you want to hit lvl 21 go have a gun aim for the eyes of molerats. Done.

Aaron, I think you are missing the point that FOnline isnt' WoW. You don't need 500+ hours to make a powerful char and have some decent stuff. Just few days, it's a question of planning your game time : Gather => Craft => Kill Mobs => Die => Gather... Even in solo it's easy to make a 21 char quickly.

Plus, I can assure you that (HOLY) Pre-Wipe Madness and Post-Wipe start are the better moments in the game, you'll see it by yourself.

Alright, fine. You win. I will thoroughly enjoy investing my time out of my day into building my character only to be forced to have him erased without any say in it whatsoever.

I can live with that, and get over it. It's still stupid, though.

Major changes are planned with perks, traits and other things character build related.
A lot of builds won't work as planned anymore after a wipe.
It's fun figuring out a new build with the new requirements.
A wipe (temporarily) brings back balance to the game as far as players and factions are concerned and it brings new challenges.
Personally I don't care much about the pre-wipe madness, although it's the time you see the most devs, GMs and players in towns.

its the time after wipe, not before..

but prewipe is cool also in terms of abuse. Dynacords for players and stuff like that in these few days you get what you missed in whole session!

Don't even bother. Just wait for the wipe, a new start brings new opportunities - and there will be at least a year until a new wipe occurs, as it seems.

Aaron Tiger you just missing one important thing. This is still beta and during beta, there are sometimes wipes. If you dont like rules of beta, noone force you to test. Everyone is good with wipe except you ...

Well, there's not much point doing a big fix to the economic system if its then applied to something already broken.

You don't get a true idea of somethings unless there is a fresh start.

Last wipe i was totally like Aaron. Really pissed that i would loose all my "hard" work. This time im looking forward to it.
I wonder what they will change in the new version. If you download Fonline SDK you will see that there are really good 3d player models and about 20 different choices to customize your character.
Hope something like that will be included next season. :)

Dude... THIS IS AN OPEN BETA TEST!!!
You do realize this game isn't final? What is the mean of wipes? Wipes do alot of help in open beta testing.
Wipe ALWAYS introduces ground-breaking updates. If the server doesn't get wiped, all players will still use their old characters, guns and other stuff, this leads to many players make a new character, because their current build is useless and the guns salvaged from pre-wipe update are useless (or changed enough to be useless in your style of play). WIPE IS GOOD!!!

There, I hope that will FINALLY stop those "OMG pl0x NO WIPE, GM ABEWZZ!!! WIPE STUPID I'M A DUMBASS!!!" threads. I didn't even put in that sentence stuff like new quests, that nobody is actually going to try out if they play their old characters. Wipe plays a very big role in beta testing, I see nothing wrong in it.

Thank you...

And? 2238 is going to get the community made models when they are done anyway :P

And even better ones i heard. I just thought the 3d models were almost finished cause they are "included" in the SDK. Not that the Van Buren Models look too great but the customization options are pretty decent.
