There is difference between Counter-Strike, Quake and games like that and Fallout. Imho shooter games are much more popular among women than RPGs. In fact I would say that 95% of women who play computer games play either some building/creative games like Sims or FPS games. I know a lot women gamers myself but none of them is interested in RPGs or strategies. And it has its reasons because brain of a male works differently than brain of a female and we (men) experience conquering/prevailing/roleplay in much more intense way than women.

That's why dating simulators games with "strong storytelling" like flirting all day long with your npc companions in the most unfitting situations you can imagine, like BGII or Dragon Age are so well liked among women. :P

Why you say this? I know girls who play World of Warcraft and they are really not hot like most of you would think.
