Better critical is ALWAYS better than taking one more MC, you just do your math 8) 5% MC means this one perk will make difference in 1/20 shots. Better criticals makes difference with each critical, so in like 1/2 shots. MC is one of the most overrated perks.

finally i made this build, it can shoot 2 times with 223 pistol, 12 ap
1 9 4 1 7 9 10 + nuka cigs jet
awareness more crit better crit lifegiver weapon handling brof more crit
1 str penalty point to sg
255 sg 101 fa 60 doc
you think it will work?

223 pistol has 30 hex range, you need more EN and less PE imho. also with BRoF you only need 10 AP to aim at eyes twice.

1) Also you didn't noticed his 7 IN, what is useless since he's not going to get doc3 prof. So it's -1 SPECIAL, he wanted to maximaze to hit%, that's why he made 9 PE, so he didn't know where to put other SPECIAL, so he made it 7 IN, but he could make 10 PE and 6 IN, use Psycho and Cigs, +Buffout, then he'll have 2 ST (-2+2+1 from Jet, Buffout and Psycho) and won't have any penalty to hit, also he'll have additional DR and 10+1-2=9 PE.
2) .223 pistol may be a pistol, but... it's abnormal pistol and requires 5 AP for regular shot, so 6 AP in the eyes with BRoF.
3) He may get PE to 6, IN to 6 and gain 4 points from that and put them into EN to 8. Then he'll have 5 PE on PsychoCigs and 2 ST on JetoPsychoBuffout, 5 PE = 20+3*5=35 FoV range what isn't good but normal for .223 pistol, 2 ST + WH = no penalty to hit, EN 8 = additional 48 HP in comparison to 4 EN.
4) After practicing you'll see that 10 LK, 9 LK and 8 LK has almost no difference, and you better make 10 EN and 8 LK.
5) After more practicing you'll understand that those criticals are real life luck based, you only need to have 50%+ and you're ok, and you'll take 2nd LG instead of additional MC and will have 244 HP on 21st level.
6) After more practicing you'll see that awareness no need, and take toughness instead of it on 3rd level.
