Mercs are pretty much dead meat in serious battles, and these were mutants much stronger than normal mercs. Not saying they do not help, but they are far away from being ultimate power or something as you are describing them.

I have to disagree.
Usualy militia in a town is not killed in open battle - i most cases factions are sending single players wearing nor armor, armed in a one gun, accrying a lot of ammo.
He is hiding ammo somewhere in a map and then bursting militia from 1 hex distance, after replication he is grabing his gun (militia do not loot) and do it again until most of mitia is killed.
You have presented a link where merc leaders shouldn't use mutants who can't run and can't reach their targets before being killed. They didn't use their brain during that fight so they have lost.
As i said before, it is not a problem in earning 100k caps

better do not write anything if you have no sense in your post.
I saw MANY times when people were bursting militia from 1 hex ( Gecko, modoc) and do it again untill all militia is gone.
People are usually patroling only redding and BH.
I do not have fun in killing each encountered player so i won't make such a build. But i would like to play in a game where i know that i have ANY chances in 1 vs 1 pvp when i have max lvl and best eq.

And where are YOUR arguments? whre is YOUR truth?
I can say same to you that everything that you are saying is out of game reality.
Why they are not assaulting with 30 merc leaders? Cause plaing merc leader is boring and people wan't to play also other chars. This do not change real fatc that pure merc leader sqad is far stronger than other biuilds sq.
please also do not change my words - i said that earning 100k caps is a few hours of play NOT ONE hour.
Additionally earning rockets is so easy - make a tent near to brotherhood, make a thief char and clear brotherhood patrol pockets.
