Damage calculation. which formula 2238 uses now?

(1/2) > >>

Okram:
For example Avenger with 5mm AP vs Brotherhood armor:

Damage 8-11 (take 8min)
5mm AP -35% 2/3 damage

Player has 2x bonus ranged damage.

8+4(brd)=12 ;  12* 2/3 = 8

Brotherhood armor damage threshold 8; 40% resistance

8-8=0 ? 0 damage?  (40%-35%=5% resistance -> 8 - 5% = 7.6

Lets take my guess that this only works for first bullet. And that depending on skill depends how many bullets will hit.

lets say that 50% of bullets hit, 20-1 = 19;  19*7.6 = 144 damage.
in case of 40 bullets hit -> 39*7.6 = 296 damage.

Is this how it works? And how does the skill % (chance to hit) effects burst weapons hit % :/
For example 300% big gun skill = 95% -> 38 bullets hit? On which range? And how does range effects % chance for burst weapons.

Crazy:
5mm AP have armor percing perk, DT/3.

Bantz:
If you burst from point blank, all the bullets have  a chance to hit depending on your skill, so its 0.95 for every bullet.
From 2 hexes and more, only 1/3 of bullets have a chance to hit the target.

Haraldx:
It's extremely random about bursts. Sometimes from point blank with a grease gun I get 60 damage bursts, sometime, I get over 115 damage bursts even without critical. I was pretty sure Lexx confirmed this somewhere, that the chance to hit for bursts is extremely a bit random.

Solar:
Its not particularly random at all. Its detailed elsewhere on the forum, just search it.
