Hints to permanent effect? Where?

With the next update...

It's entirely up to GM's to take responsibility at this point.

If it will be done with one player, it has to be done with all players. Will not happen.

Your mistake, your mess.

It's not a bug, it never was. Jet addiction lasts forever since Fallout 2 and an antidote for it is like a power armor.

He never said its a bug, he was just complaining about the missing warning and nobody helping him to get rid of it now after him permanently addicting himself without knowing about it.

Yes he could have chosen a more polite way to complain than his whining and rude manners, but he got some points. If you never played Fallout 2 how should you know Jet Addiction is forever (I played Fallout 2 many times and in my early Fallout 2 Playthroughs, i was pretty young, i never used Jet, so how to know about the perma-addiction?). Yes, theres the wiki, but meh, wiki isnt very accurate nor up to date.

Your opinion is noted, feel better?

Yes, when misinformed with such drastic effects at play, one's entitled to compensation as well as an apology for their time.
But since the game's still in beta, I might just let it pass with a slight hope of a fix and a skip on apology.
Whom they choose to do it for is not my problem.

Just like most of us don't care if only few of us own Powerarmor or a Mercenary robot...

When the open beta started, there were more information holes than now
- Dynacord wasn't implemented despite being in manual's crafting table (and that's why some people uselessly increased science to 160)
- No where was mentioned that sneak is absolutely useless bellow 200%
And yet I don't recall seeing anyone bitching so much about lost skill points.

Come on, 1AP isn't that much (and if it is your first char it surely won't make a diference).
Either start a new char, take action boy perk or start farming jet and play as a junkie.

PS: maybe if you hadn't such an attitude(really, being rude and making demands never lead anywhere), GMs and Devs would be more willing and maybe some kindred soul would silently remove your addiction

The guy has a harsh attitude towards the community, but he is still so right.

If it will be done with one player, it has to be done with all players.
Then do it. Why not? And you never will have to solve any dillema of this kind after the next update.
I'm sure EVERYONE will be happy. Maybe except you, developer(s) as I can see. But I don't know the reason of your "unhappiness" that would be caused by doing this. Arrogance? Hurting your pride?

Dirk55 is one of these players we need. His posts are mature, even if bit assholish. He stands for his point and I agree. Answer to his(our) needs.

Why not?

It will trigger a request help wave from players who "accidentally took Jet" or random drug X and now want to have it's effects removed.

Same issue as with lost mercs-- no refunds.

You said it has to be done with all players. I asked why? And you're answering me, that it would need to be done for all players. What the hell...
Yes, I mean do it now. Remove all the jet addictions, and update the description so you will never have to encounter this dillema.

I wrote twice already that we will not do this (also refunds for lost mercs and other yadda-yadda) and even why we will not do this. If you can't get the logic behind it, I can't help you.

Nope. Total tools who serve to demotivate the people who will eventually improve the game are absolutly not the type of player we need.

I read only until he started insulting us, after that I couldn't care less about what he had to say.

About Jet, it could indeed do with the antidote being, at least a little, availbale - the old problem of it being so good has been balanced out a little bit anyway.
