Hi Sigismund!

I recommend installing the official patches available at first. Current version is 1.27. This might help already.
If not, it's definitely due to your graphics accelerator: the geforce 200 series has some nice models
but the gt 220 is one of the weak versions of them. I suppose your computer is one of them out-of-the-box pcs and not custom built.
Most manufacturers save expenses by installing graphics accelerators with nice specifications and names but with only low capacity.
I'm not saying that your computer needs an upgrade, but I am relatively sure that your gt220 simply cannot handle FoT with max details,
max resolution and antialiasing properly.

It is custom build i changed my graphics card 1 year ago.And I was very surprised when I read ur reply. And I'm able to play GTA 4 on high settings with almost no problem.
Forgot to say that I applied the latest patch after installation.

Well okay, if you say GTA 4 is no trouble for the gt 220, my estimation of its performance was a little too low.
Nevertheless Fallout Tactics can be a trouble for older graphics cards... I'm sure of that due to own experience.
But regarding your statement the only solution seems to be adjusting the details and resolution step by step to a playable degree.
If this won't help I am afraid I have no better solution.

Sorry bout that.

I don't really know, but, here are my answers:

your graphics card can be too good for the game. ( don't know if this is actually true, but yeah)

The games engine is too crappy to support its graphics. (EX. the goldsource trying to run crysis graphics, it would crash.)

Try going to your display settings and adjusting Hardware Acceleration. I often have to turn it down to play old games on my comp and i have a gt220 too. I have to adjust mine to "disable all basic acceleration" to get FT working correctly
