Combat floating messages
« on: March 18, 2010, 09:57:57 pm »

This suggestion is related to this feature:

http://fodev.net/forum/index.php?topic=2247.0

We in DMC (at least 10 PvP players) would like to see it expanded a bit to reflect not only damange but other info of the shot effect as well. Those messages would make this already awesome feature truly golden:

"eye damage"
"crippled left arm"
"crippled right arm"
"crippled left leg"
"crippled right leg"
"knocked out"
"instant death"

This would make it possible for PvP characters not to search for such relevant info in the chat log during a heated battle.

Please discuss.

As usually, this does not give anything bad, I don't think it's hard to implement, so, of couse, that's good idea. Just make another button/option in Config, where you can on/off this messages. And they will be floated for the same ammount of ms, as damage is setted in config.

Yet another great idea. Too bad the only ideas I've seen get into the game are the radio-distress one and some other little ones. But I know, they have more important things to be worrying about.

Well when its on the table then +heal could work same way as pretty much any state of person: radiation, overweight, drugs... Only thing is if it should be allowed to others to see your "status" when using drugs or getting +heal or if it should remain private and only for you to see.

Anyway its definitely something that will boost the gameplay. Very good idea.
