can stealing be punished?

hi guys,

just wondering if person steals from me and i try to kill him then guard shoot me straight away.. thats not right... whats the best way to punish  mother f'er? same person keep stealing from me and i cannot do anything...

Also what does red highlight around character means... it appears only sometimes..

It's not the good section for this question but I tell you the answer...

So the solution is simple, you can only kill a stealer when he fail and guard see him, so you see in log if you dont see the guard talk, that he is unprotected in red.

Kill him and enjoy ! ^^

You can very simply avoid being stolen from by paying attention.
If someone stands next to you, move away.
Always keep at least 1 hex between you and other players unless you trust those players.

ohh dammit i missed my chance! :( well im highlighted in red polygon now, but i didnt do anything wrong, what does that means?

Highlighted in red polygon? I don't think you should see any polygons even if you did something wrong. Only red polygon that I can imagine surrounding you is the attack range polygon when you press 'W'. Sure you didn't press that accidently? :P
