Why cant I find any player in wasteland

I have been playing in the wasteland since 3 weeks and I have around 140 outdoorsman... I have never seen an encounter of player "a wastelander"... But others could find me... What s wrong ? My friend told me... since a long time he doesnt spot anybody in the wasteland either ?

That could be happening because there is indeed no player in your square ATM you pass by, as well as because you have a decent amount of points at outdoorsman skill that might skip that kind of encounter.

Yes, several person such as myself seem unable to encounter the vast majority of other players in random encounters.

What i understood after some testing, is that some players encounter other players frequently, but some can only encounter a few other specific players, i dont know much about computers, but it might have to do with open or closed port or something.

I also found out that if someone in your encounter is not suffering from the *i never encounter other players in the wasteland syndrome*, you will be able to encounter players you would not encounter normaly, not the other way around (having a *i never encounter other players in the wasteland syndrome* player wont protect your party from player encounters).

I never encounter 1 ... since 3 weeks no player and I play very frequently

This is probably due to the fact that caps are very common these days and everyone can get their fair share of cars. If you travel in a car, other players can't encounter you AFAIK. But I don't know if it's true - would only be my logical explanation.
