A Hummer from 50's?

So, as you know, the current Hummer in game is taken from Tactics and isn't really a retrofuturistic looking, since first HMMWVs were first produced in 1985.
But, the american military in Fallout needed a versatile, maintenance-simple, powerful and fast vehicle such as a HMMWV, they needed a compromise between M38 and M880, perhaps even spaceful enough to carry 4 soldiers in Power Armors.
So, what do you think, how would such vehicle look like, if it should use easy-to-produce military parts (straight edges?) and look like it's from 50's with all the (small) retro design elements?
Perhaps like a Willys MB on steroids? Drawings and concepts are welcome.

Keep in mind, that Fallout's setting is not 50's, but 50's sci-fi future vision.

Yeah, retrofuturistic airflow design... That should be mixed up with rough simplicity of a cheap, massproduced military vehicle.
How would that look? The Dodge isn't that bad, but...
When i look on the front of a Hummer, i see a lot of straight edges, easy to manufacture and replace. Headlights, hidden in the middle, so they wouldn't broken by stuck-out branches and sharp terrain edges. The front axis is planted to the very front, so the car body edges won't bury themselves in the mud. And also a very high ground clearance.
Now, all these technical aspects should be considered by a designer from the 50's, who's into airflow, tailfins, massive roadcruiser aesthetics and heavy atomic drives.
