Formula for sneak?

How is the formula for sneak? I know it's on wiki but I don't understand it. For example 390% of sneak = how much hexes from front?

But it's still my problem...whose of those 2 formulas is right?

20 + opponent's Perception * 3 - previously calculated skill / 6

or

20 + (opponent's Perception * 3) - (previously calculated skill / 6)

?

with or without brackets the formula are the same if you use math.
