FoV Fix Proposal
« on: January 18, 2011, 01:53:32 pm »

In my opinion, if player looks in one direction, it should count as 3.

For exemple, if player looks East, he should see North-East and South-East as good as East. And so on.

Reason is, becouse, sometimes (quite often) when your char is running towards a hex, you cannot foresee which direction he will be facing (not to mention the zig-zag running). Also, there is a problem with the "black spaces" in my opinion, areas which is hard to look into, becouse of only those 6 (?) directions.

I agree! It makes often problem while u click on enemy behind weapons range char starts zig zaging loses fov on enemy and stops. Also FoV could also be refreshed on character turn via <> keys.

Thats a good idea, it's really anoying in sniper fight, when you click on someone one hex out of range, to see you char advance one hex, loose his fov, and shot, loosing AP without actually refreshing your FoV and with no bullet coming out of the gun (with a final result of you dying from ennemies shot, as he didn't move)..

Here you go. When it happen, your char shot and lost his AP, but he don't actually fire, and you have to move to update your FoV.

Allowing char turning in TB even when it's not your turn would help too

Yes, thanks for screen Crazy.

About the shooting people without firing a bullet is also an issue, that stands on its own. I hope this gets fixed aswell. It has been a while, and it happends to me very often, like every 4-5th shot almost, very annoying to loose all AP.
