How do I get in to Sierra Army Depot

Ammo you say? Like 7.62 ammo?

I could suggest you making an character which can join and remain at the Raiders Faction. They have a extended workbench, which allows you to craft 7.62 ammo.
Mind that this character will be hated almost everywhere in south, so you'll need a shared tent near Raiders Base or a good hiding spot.

Yeah - I've been looking at that option as well but that area around the den isn't nice for low level characters and new players like myself :)

But that will most likely be the best option for 7.62 ammo yes
