I want to remind you that FOCD is not working since many months (anti-alt for example) and we can still detect it. Maybe you forgot the big banning also.

What about that there would be lets say 10 levels of transparency. level 10 is completly unvisible, 1 a bit more visible then current transparency when in sneak mode.

level 9 would be like 95% transparency, level 8 maybe 90% and so on. And name would only appear when lets say level 3.

This could probobly create very intresting situations, like few people standing and guarding, and one of them sees something moving but he cant be sure and the hunt starts.  ;)

Well, if there will not exist any chance to cheat via some third party program (like focd,....), there should exist possibility to shoot, burst to hex even if there is not anybody. Because i can think that there is someone and i should have possibility to attack that place preventively.

Afaik targeting is done via engine, not scripts :(

The idea is flawed because to make it work sneaking characters would have to be without outline and without name over head - and then, like avv said, people would simply hide behind walls and scenery and you wouldn't have a chance to see them at all, even if you were 3 hexes away. Besides if info about sneaking character is sent to client, it's just open for hacks. And yes, you can detect cheats, but focd is well known. Try to detect something nobody knows about.
