Well, this isn't really a bug, because the follower commands are only referring to interactions with other
players (don't attack any other player unless you get hit). The wording of the statement could be revised, though, but it isn't really a bug.
I'll move this to suggestions.
And as for this suggestion, I support it

There should be command that makes it so followers don't attack NPCs, even if hostile, unless you tell them to.
