All Towns Raidable

I was just looking through General, when second page, there was a Flame War about Junktown being Raided, then spawn Camped...

So how about instead of making it so it's Spawn Camp-able, you allow it to be raided, but twice as hard as BH or Redding and no reward, other then drop-in players loots....?

Another part that could be fun, is actually making it a quest....

Eg. A group (The PKers) Walk into NCR with what ever equipment there going to use, then go to the Inner City (where the cops are, in blue uniforms) and have to walk in, guns armed, and shoot there way to the sherifs office.

After inside, if they survived, they can wait for backup, at the risk of more cops spawn (eg, half there timer) or, talk to the sherif and say ''Were Raiding this town, surrendor now'' (requires -1000 Or more karma for the Town, so NCR) then combat engages, and the sherif use's a Experimental Psycho (from Pre-Wipe that made people nearly impossible to beat) and Buffout, and etc etc, and the guys have to take him out...

After the sherif is dead, EG 0 hp, he use's his last strength to go to a PA System and Alert the people of NCR that they are under a Raid....EG: ''NCR is under Raid, PLEASE Evacuate the city.'' then sets of the Towns Alerm, were all Cops/Guards are Respawned, and extra back up arvives, nearly instantly.

And remember!!

NO SPAWN CAMPING SHOULD BE DONE IF THIS IS ADDED, IF YOU SPAWN CAMP FOR MORE THEN 3 MINUTES, IN TOTAL, THERE WILL BE MAJOR RUSH OF GUARDS, WITH 9999 HP TO KILL YOU FOR IT.

Okay but then ncr will retaliate, demolish your base and close all your chars in corrections facility for life.

You know why you can't raid big cities right now? Because you'd end up dead every time. Ncr has thousands of soldiers. Biggest gangs got like 30.

Exacatly, it wont be like normal Town Control, it'll be harder, an challenege, and even if u hold out, theres no reward, it's for fame.

Yes, your lucky if a faction has 30 PvP builds, and yes, most towns have more then the max Player hp aloud, but if u look around, the NPCs dnt have PvP builds, they have a random build, a gun, ammo and skinned armor (which then gets put into natural defences and etc) they cant even have a chance at taking down a BG at point blank...

And another feature, the reenforcedments could be 2 people instead of the supposed 5....so it could become possible, or even instead of more people, once town is cleared of NPCs maybe even ''Waves'' of units coming in as back up (eg, different sizes you would encounter)

Also, when i say no rewards i mean psychical rewards as money, or items....maybe your karma is set to 2000 for the town, until its taken over again and it's set to what ever you had it + any negative karma u earned during the 2000 point....and if you fail, to make attemptin it again, or gettin ur equipment for back for free, you Karma for the town has 2000 added onto it :)

Yes but ICly we will ever see those thousands of soldiers? We'd have to pretend and roleplay such a factor. Also consider how long it would take for a large army to reach a city before it's completley destroyed.

Very good point.

Thats why they could enter in small groups :) and with the new NCR enc, it would look pretty awesome if NCR Army walks in to save NCR :)

Seriously 30 dudes is a drop in the ocean and has no part in global conflicts in fallout world. We players tend to think that we rule the wastes with our little gangs, well we don't. It's the big factions. Just think of them as very very big player factions that craft new stuff non-stop and have thousands of members. Now would you be able to capture for example Redding if it was guarded by 10,000 rogues?

Yeah we have to roleplay the situation because devs haven't bothered to make it so that 1k soldiers  comes to stomp a raiding party. So the outcome would be the same: whether you just can't raid ncr or you get stomped by its army anyway.
It probably takes about 5 seconds for the army to arrive because there's ncr military base right next to shady sands and they'll most likely arrive with cars (they leave the cars in worldmap).
